Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Gayret and its connected web services collect, why it is used, who it may be shared with and how long it is retained.
Data categories we collect
Account data: name, username, email, session details and profile data provided by the user.
Worship and usage data: prayer time preferences, Quran reading progress, goals, notes, favorites and reminder settings.
Device and technical data: IP address, device model, operating system, app version, language, network info and session logs.
Location data: approximate or precise location if permission is granted, used for prayer time calculation, qibla and local settings.
Operational data: push token, crash records, performance metrics, analytics events, support requests and security records.

Location, qibla and notification permissions
• Location data is processed only when device permission is granted and is used for prayer time and qibla features.
• Notification permissions are used for adhan, prayer time, reading goal, dua or dhikr reminders.
• Quran progress, notes and favorites may be linked to your account; preferences may be stored on device or server.
• Location and notification permissions can be disabled from device settings at any time.
Data sharing
Cloud hosting, database, logging, crash reporting, analytics and push notification providers.
Platforms such as Apple App Store and Google Play for payments and subscriptions.
Authorized authorities when required by law, court order, official request or security review.
Relevant parties in merger, transfer or asset sale scenarios.
Retention periods
Account data may be kept while the account remains active and, after a deletion request, until legally required periods expire.
Prayer, Quran, goal, favorite and reminder data may be kept until the user deletes it or the account is removed.
Crash, analytics and log records are usually subject to operational retention periods ranging from 30 days to 24 months.
Billing, payment dispute and tax records may be retained longer under applicable law.
Deletion requests and legal exceptions
When a user submits an account deletion request, profile access, sessions, active device links and push tokens are disabled.
Payment history, security logs, official request records and tax records may be retained longer for legal obligations.
During deletion, anonymization, masking or access restriction steps may be applied.
KVKK and GDPR framework
Gayret explains processing purposes through an information notice and uses consent flows where explicit consent is required.
Users can exercise access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction and objection rights through support channels.
Cross-border transfers are assessed based on cloud services and third-party SDK usage.
